70's Songs say it all...

A few months ago, I was home watching tv with my parents.  We had just finished this show and were about to turn off the tv when some 70's songs started to play.  It was the Time Life infomercial for their "newest" cd collection--Romancing the 70's.

Sometimes I think  I was born in the wrong decade!  I love Elvis and the Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, and the artists from Motown.  I would rather listen to them most days than anything on the radio--I like my country, don't get me wrong, but there are just some times when you need a song to say how you feel and those 70's songs sure do.  My parents ordered the collection and I've had a lot of fun listening to them.  How can you pass up Wildfire?  Knock 3 Times? You Don't Have to Say You Love Me? At Seventeen? Annie's Song?  Raindrops Keep Falling? When Will I See You Again?

Ah--the songs that can say it all--that's what I've been groovin' too lately.
Happy Reading!

I agree, I like the music from most decades other than our own... I love the 60s, 70s, and 80s so much!
Hope you are doing well!

I'm with you on that one!
I was into the oldies LONG before my Daddy owned an Oldies radio station (So now I have most of the songs memorized! ;) I'm glad you're having a good time groovin' to all those "oldies, but goodies."

None of this 'take off all your clothes,' 'I kissed a girl...it's human nature' '...let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel,' Garbage - Give me the 'I wanna hold your hand,' 'Goin' to the Chapel and we're gonna get married,' and 'You are Everything, and Everything is you.'

Ever noticed that now music is all about self gratification and having what you want in the moment? Music used to talk about Love, Marriage, and commitment!
